Spiced Vanilla Raw Goat Milk Soleseife (Salt Brine) soap! This lovely soap smells good enough to eat!
WHAT is soleseife? Soleseife (brine soap is an old German recipe. What better soap to make for a German girl like myself? While my grandmothers, Omi and Oma, and great-grandma, Noni, made very simple, functional soap from tallow (rendered animal fat), I never cared for the, um, smell of it. I've been wanting to try a salt bar for a while, and during my ultimate favorite past time, research, I discovered that there are salt bars and salt brine bars. Hmmm. What I learned is that both create a longer lasting soap and both are good for the skin, especially oily skin, and retain moisture. The differences are that a salt bar is a coarser bar of soap as the salt is added AFTER the lye and oils are combined, great for exfoliation but rough for facial skin. A salt brine bar, soleseife, is created by adding the salt into the lye BEFORE the lye and oils are combined, creating a salt brine, with a very mild exfoliation, better for facial skin.
What's in it?
Contains plant oils of youthful olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, rice bran oil, sweet almond oil, and castor oil to deeply cleanse, moisturize, may aid in anti-aging and may help with acne, psoriasis, and eczema as well as helping with dry skin and acne. Sweet orange, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla essential oils are added to lift your mood while the combination of raw goat milk and salt may help with psoriasis and eczema to calm, retain moisture, and rejuvenate skin. Rose kaolin clay draws out toxins and impurities from the skin, helps with moisture retention creating a product that is soothing, and leaves skin soft and naturally moisturized; it is a natural deep cleanser and blemish preventer. Salt is known for relieving minor skin disorders as well as creating a hard, long lasting soap. These skin loving ingredients will indulge your skin and the scent is marvelous!
